It Started
With A Little
Aloha.

Regan and Kim Derrickson opened Nalu Hawaiian Surf Bar & Grille in Dewey Beach on April 24, 2008. The idea brought Pacific island fusion cuisine into a fun, open-air family restaurant on the Delaware coast.

On April 9, 2019, Nalu opened its second location in neighboring Rehoboth Beach. Two beach towns, one shared menu, and the same welcoming island spirit.

Today, Nalu is part of Nalu Hospitality Group, alongside 1776 Steakhouse and Summer House. Each restaurant has its own personality, with a shared place in the Delaware beach community.

ALWAYSGood food. Your people. Island spirit.
Come as you are.

The Best Part
Is Who You Bring.

Our menu crosses the Pacific without losing sight of what makes a beach restaurant great: food you want to come back for and a place where everyone can find a favorite. Build your night around sushi burritos and poke bowls, a Kalua pork sandwich, or a Wagyu smash burger. Bring the kids, bring your friends, and settle into your own version of island time.
